Recycling electronics and batteries

Don't put them in the trash.

4 min read

Electronics and batteries need special handling, and many contain personal data.

How

  1. Back up and erase phones, tablets and computers
  2. Remove batteries where you can
  3. Find a certified e-waste recycler or a store take-back program
  4. Tape the ends of lithium batteries before recycling

Check your local rules and the EPA's guidance on electronics recycling. Bright Nest Guide isn't paid by any store or brand.
